One of Ryan and Sam's favorite things to do is play peek-a-boo or hide and seek with each other. They get so tickled! I just love to sit back and watch them.

Ryan and Sam had the best time on Christmas morning this year. Ryan's only request from Santa was a scooter....and Santa came through for him! He was SO excited! The funniest thing is to see him with his helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and gloves on. Sam (18 months old now), of course, just loved getting new toys. He didn't really get the whole Santa thing, but he was excited to play with his house, Geo track, and ball! They are just too cute and both such fun.

Halloween was a lot of fun this year! Ryan was Buzz Lightyear and Sam was Charlie Brown. We went to a neighborhood party and then on a hayride to trick-or-treat. Ryan really loved getting all the candy at each door.....Sam didn't really know what to think about it all. He didn't want to even approach the door.

We celebrated Ryan's 4th birthday with a family party at home and a party for friends at Pump It Up! We had so much fun! It's so hard to believe he's 4 years old!!

Pumpkin Patch

Today I took the boys to our local pumpkin patch. Again, they loved it!! Ryan made some friends while we were there. Sam was hilarious trying to pick up all the pumpkins! We picked out 4 to bring home! Too cute!

Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch

Ryan, Sam and I went to visit NanNan and Pops last weekend. We had a great time! Saturday, NanNan and Pops took Ryan and Sam to the Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch in Clanton. They had a great time!! It's so nice to be living near family again!!

We spent an afternoon at Dauphin Island. The boys had a great time playing in the sand and water. There were a lot of jellyfish in the water, so we had to be very careful. It's nice to be this close to the beach.

We have a home!!!

So...we moved into our new home 2 weeks ago and are loving it!! Ryan was thrilled (and a bit amazed) to have all his toys back. Sam loves his new room. Mom and Dad are just excited to have a home again. We make a run to SuperTarget and Lowe's EVERYDAY still, but we'll get it all together eventually. Come see us anytime!

Yesterday was Sam's 1st birthday!! We had a great party at my mom's house. It was so nice to have our family together. It's hard to believe he is already 1. The year has gone by so quickly. He is still the sweetest little boy with the biggest smile! It's so funny.....when we're out and about running errands, it never fails that someone will say, "He is so cute! Can I take him home with me?" What an angel.....

Okay so I haven't posted sice April. Things have been a little crazy. No, I would say VERY crazy. We sold our house in NC and are in the process of finding a place to live in AL. Jay is starting med school in August. The boys and I are living with my mom for now while Jay finishes up in NC. Like I said, VERY crazy.
Anyway, I thought I'd post some photos of what weve been doing.

Ryan started soccer practice yesterday. He's playing through the YMCA and their league is called the Mighty Mites --- too cute. Anyway, the team is 3 and 4 year old boys and girls. I think the goal of yesterday's practice was to teach them not to touch the ball with their hands and to stay within the boundaries. FUNNY!!!! Needless to say, Ryan loved it! This is what he's all about!

A few photos from our trip to Alabama for Easter. The boys had so much fun playing outside and coloring eggs. Ryan caught a big bass at PapaJerry's house and spent some time with ShaSha, Uncle Stu, and Aunt Hope. As you can see, Sam is much more mobile now...crawling everywhere and trying to walk. Ryan still LOVES playing in the water...even if it's freezing outside!

I love these faces! Ryan is so much fun, and so "grown up" now. He'll just look at me and say, "Mommy, I love you." It melts my heart. And Sam is as busy as can be.....pulling himself up, clapping, and even walking while holding my fingers. He thinks he is just as big as Ryan. They are the sweetest brothers.............. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family..........

We had our first snow of the year yesterday, and it was so much fun!!! Ryan was amazed. We woke him up at 7:30 to make sure he could play in it before it all melted. He played outside for about an hour until his fingers were freezing.....he was helping me build a snowman and throwing snowballs! After we played for a while, he said, "Mom, can I eat it?" "Sure," I said. Needless to say, his little white knit gloves were cold and wet before too long, so he was ready to come inside for a warm bath and some hot chocolate.
Sam wasn't as crazy about the whole thing. I think he was wondering why I had him in so many clothes. (He prefers his birthday suit.)
Anyway, a great time was had by all. Enjoy the pics.

Christmas in Alabama

We spent Christmas in Alabama with the family this year and had a wonderful visit. It was Sam's first Christmas so that was really special.But the most fun was seeing Ryan discover all his gifts from Santa on Christmas morning! We visited with NanNan, Pops, Great Gran, Papa Jerry, Aunt Hope and Uncle Stuart for 5 days and then drove to Birmingham to visit ShaSha for a few days. Altogether the trip was 9 days, and while we had a wonderful time we were glad to be home on Saturday.

Christmas is almost here, and we are really excited!! Sam is 5 months old now and is cute as a button (if I do say so myself!!) We have put up our tree and are staying warm as the weather gets cooler in NC. I hope you all are enjoying the holidays as much as we are.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We were home for
the day and had a great time. We made placemats this year and wrote down things we were thankful for.
I am thankful for:
Ryan "leaves, my Christmas tree, all my toys, my baby and my mommy and daddy."
Sam "mommy, daddy, Ryan, and milk" -- at least that's what we think he would say.
Jana "my three boys (Jay, Ryan, and Sam), my home, and sleep."
Jay "my home, my baby boys, and Coach Saban."

Time flies when you're having fun!! Sam is 4 months old now and so much fun!! He loves to play peek-a-boo and laughs out loud when you "get him". He is such a joy to have and makes us smile all the time. He weighed in at 14 pounds 11 ounces at his 4 month visit with the doctor. (Ryan weighs 32 pounds and he is 3 years old!!! That's right, Sam is almost HALF his size already!!) He has the sweetest little laugh, and the best personality.

We had a wonderful time on Halloween this year. Ryan passed out candy to all the trick or treaters that came to the house. We had so many!!! We ran out of candy in about an hour and then went to the fall festival at Western Avenue Baptist. Ryan was very "selective" with his candy. If you had on a scary costume, he wouldn't put any candy in your pumpkin. He'd say, "You do it, Mommy" and he'd hide behind me. After one of the "Scary Movie" masks, he went and got his sword to "defend the home." It was actually quite funny!
Sam was the cutest little pumpkin. He just sat out on the porch in his little outfit to greet the trick or treaters. He was so adorable!

Pumpkin Patch

Steph brought Summer and Cooper over and we all went to the pumpkin patch together. Ryan had so much fun picking up the pumpkins to see which one he liked the best. Sam was propped up between the pumpkins for just a short time...he wasn't too thrilled. Anyway, it was a fun little outing. Enjoy the photos!

What a week!! Sun, pool, ocean, rum punch, the "Okeira Special" ( a banana rum cream drink named after our bartender) and the best book Jay and I have read in a long time. If you've got a week with some extra time and parents, siblings, or "little ones" you love more than life itself, read "Three Weeks With My Brother" by Nicholas and Micah Sparks. You'll laugh, cry, and most of all....want to let those people know how much you love 'em! We were so ready to get back home to our boys.

We went to Grand Lido, Negril in Jamaica (an all-inclusive resort) and had the best time. I highly recommend it! The boys had so much fun visiting everyone in Alabama. The trip home with Brandon, Steph, Summer, and Cooper was quite an adventure. It only took us 9 HOURS!!!!! (instead of the usual 6 1/2 or 7) That's what happens when you have a 2 year old, 1 year old, 3 month old, and 2 month old in one van. We're all safe and glad to be back!

Halloween Practice

Okay..Ryan has decided he wants to be a ghost for Halloween. We "made" (i.e. cut two holes in a sheet) his costume this weekend and did a "run through". It was hilarious! You've got to see.

The funniest part was when Jay put the costume on. Ryan didn't know whether to laugh or run and hide. He scared himself!

Ryan was ready for the game this week. Kim, Reda, and Lucas came over for the "tailgate party". Ryan was fired up....shaking his shaker and yelling, "I'm gonna tackle you down!" Hilarious! I didn't get a picture of our linebacker (Baby Sam). Maybe next time.

Just a glimpse of bedtime at home. Ryan and Sam enjoyed listening to mommy read "A,B,C" by Dr. Seuss. Of course, Ryan wanted to read it by himself!! The letter of the week at school is "C" so he wanted to name everything he knows that starts with a "C".

We finally did it! It was just too hard to keep up our personal website, so I'll try to do better with this.

Things are going well for us all. Ryan is starting Montessori School this week. We had orientation today and he loved it. Sam is being an angel as usual. He is cooing and smiling...so sweet! He will be 2 months old tomorrow!! The practice in Hickory is doing very well. I spend 3 days a week there and am home with the boys the rest of the time. Jay is excited that this is the first week before "Game Day"! We're traveling to Alabama this weekend to visit everyone.

So that's just a little update for now. Check back often. I'll try to be good about posting the latest and greatest happenings in the Crim family.
